Betting shops accept bets on the outcome “a goal will be scored until the minute”. This position means that at least one of the teams will score or not score a goal before the minute specified by the bookmaker. In one bookmaker’s list this type of betting is as follows:
The example shows the 15th minute. Let’s look at two possible outcomes:
1st goal before 15 min – Yes. In this case, the bet will play if the score is opened before 14 min. 59 sec.
1st goal before 15 min – No. If the bettor bets against a goal, the 0-0 score must be maintained until the above mentioned time to win.

Betting on a goal before a specific minute is also accepted for other match intervals. Some bookmakers accept bets on certain teams. This position can also be found in the playlists of many bookmakers.
In some bookmakers the bet is settled immediately after the end of the interval. In this case the money for a successful outcome is received before the final match, if the time interval is less than 90 minutes.
In other betting shops, this type of bet is settled only after the end of the match. In this case, the bettor has to wait for the end of the match.
Betting on a goal before a given minute is advantageous when there are high-scoring teams that focus on attacking moves. In matches between such opponents, a goal can happen at any moment.
